Privacy Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026
Pantry Cookbook (“we”) makes Pantry Cookbook. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and name, if you create an account. Sign-in is provided by Supabase.
- Your kitchen data — recipes, notes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items and preferences. Without an account these stay on your device. With an account they're stored on our servers so they sync and can be shared with your household.
- Content you choose to share — reviews, review photos and recipe links you make public.
- Photos you import — recipe photos and receipts are sent to our AI provider to read them and are not kept after processing.
- Purchases — handled by Stripe, Apple or Google. We receive your subscription status, never your card details.
- Usage statistics — only if you agree: anonymous events such as “recipe imported” with a random device ID, used to improve the app.
- Technical data — IP addresses and error reports kept briefly for security, abuse prevention and fixing bugs.
How we use it
To run the app (sync, sharing, reminders, grocery ordering), to provide support, to keep the service secure, and — with your consent — to understand which features work. Our legal bases (where GDPR applies) are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a secure service, and your consent for statistics and notifications.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (accounts and database), Cloudflare (hosting), our API host, Anthropic (reading recipes and receipts with AI), Stripe/Apple/Google (payments), RevenueCat (app-store subscription status), Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications), Sentry (error reports).
- Grocery services you connect (Instacart, Kroger) receive your list items when you send them.
- Other members of your household see your shared cookbook, plan, list and pantry.
- Authorities, if required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Download all your data: Settings → Your account data.
- Delete your account at any time: Settings → Your account data → Delete account (details).
- Turn usage statistics and notifications on or off in Settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data and to object to processing. Email [email protected].
Retention
We keep account data while your account exists and delete it when you delete your account. Security logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Children
Pantry Cookbook isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above; significant changes will be announced in the app.
